(Or Cosmic Girls finally wear some dark clothes!!!!)
Since its debut, Cosmic Girls (WJSN) appears to be a super planned girlgroup megazord, with subunits already established and a mystical concept that delivers visual perfection on their mvs… What anyone could not suspect was that the group would have many flaws on its music, releasing what appears to be the same song over and over again.
Considering that the group’s agency is Starship Entertainment (the same of SISTAR, the queens of summer, which released very similar – but enjoyable – singles on their career), this characteristic should be not a problem. And, yet, the group seems to be lost on its inicial concept, like there was no planning at all.
La La Love comes to change a little this scenario, bringing some attitude to the girls as they trash the clean color palette and mixture the beauty of the mv with a less passive interpretation. The aesthetic melody is a mess of elements (the bells appears from nowhere and disappears) and too loud for the girls voices (sometimes you barely hear them), but the result is still positive analyzing what the group releases were becoming… This could be the begin of a real change in WJSN after all??
